PDI recently welcomed a new employee: Stephanie McComb. Stephanie joins us as an Assistant Underwriter.
We recently sat down with Stephanie and asked her a few questions so you can get to know her just a little better.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on the north side of Indianapolis, IN
What area do you live in now? What do you like most about it?
I now reside on the northwest side of Indianapolis where I am a stones throw away from the Colts complex. Go COLTS! There are so many things that I love about the city. I love our great passion and enthusiasm for our sports whether professional or collegiate. I also love the growth and revitalization we are seeing in various cultural districts around downtown. Indianapolis is just a nice, lively city with a lot to see and do.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy trying out new restaurants and hot spots around town with my friends, attending sporting events, watching concerts at our various venues, playing ball with my English Bulldog and assisting any way I can with the Indiana Bulldog Rescue group.
How long have you worked in insurance? How did you find your way into the industry?
I just entered the insurance industry in May 2016. I grew up being familiar with professional liability insurance through my parents who started PDI in 1980. My brother Ken now owns the business and asked if I’d like to come aboard and learn the business. It’s an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up!
What did you do before that?
For the past 24 years I worked in the technical book publishing industry. I was responsible for hiring authors to write books or digital content as well as project manage the process from inception to finished product.
Stephanie is a graduate of Ball State University and is licensed for property & casualty insurance. As you can see, Stephanie is new to the business, but not to the family! We hope you join us in welcoming her. You can email her at stephanie@pdiins.com. You can also connect with Stephanie on LinkedIn.
