RLI Design Liability Coverage
RLI is a program that we began working with nearly 10 years ago. Architects/Engineers E&O was new to RLI, but not to the folks that headed up the program. They built their program from the ground up with education being a major focus and benefit for their insureds.
RLI has a very limited distribution model and PDI is the one of the few National Wholesalers that they work with. Because of their innovative and proactive approach, RLI has become one of the major players in this insurance market in a very short period of time.
Their policy form is one of the very broadest in the market and their claims handling is outstanding. One other factor that separates RLI from other markets is their GL package. A few years ago we encouraged RLI to consider writing general liability (GL) coverage for Design Professionals. They saw an opportunity and developed a BOP program that is exclusive to design firms.
