The end of the year always takes me by surprise. I’m not sure why as I have 12 months to see it coming, but even so, it always does. It’s the speed with which it passes that surprises me. I remember commenting to my father, after my first wedding anniversary, about how fast the year passed. He responded by saying, “wait until you have kids”. As I’ve gotten older, its dawned on me that marriage or kids are not the cause of time slipping by as it appears its more relative to age.

2016 has been a remarkable year and certainly one I won’t soon forget. 2016 to me has been the year of the underdog. It was led by the people of England shocking the world by voting to exit the European Union. Next, the Cubs won the World Series having endured a dry spell in excess of 100 years. Army beat Navy and finally, the world was shocked once again with the election of Donald Trump.

As a specialty wholesaler of professional liability insurance to the design and construction industry I can tell you the last 9 years bucked the aforementioned time trend and took forever to pass by. After roughly 7 years of construction stagnation we have seen some encouraging signs of growth over the past 2 years. The incoming administration has let it be known that change is coming and there is great optimism that significant positive change will benefit the construction industry. This commitment has the design and construction industry looking very much forward to the next few years and we are ready.

The PDI family is so fortunate to have partners like you. Your commitment and dedication to your clients is second to none. We feel blessed to be a part of your success and our commitment and efforts will always be to make your job that much easier.

So, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You.

May you have a very Merry Christmas and Hanukkah and may 2017 be a year of good health, growth and prosperity for you and yours.

Best regards,

Ken McComb
