For some time now, building “green” was an emphasis in the design community. Energy efficiency and using alternative sources of energy were the goal for major building projects.
Now that most builders take some consideration of “green” into their designs, the emphasis is shifting to building environments WELL. WELL is a certification by the International WELL Building Institute. A WELL-certified building is one which takes into account the built environment’s impact on the humans who live and work in them. It’s a holistic approach that is backed by a surprising amount of research.
